For postgrads…
I know what it’s like…
As someone with a PhD and two postdocs, I’m very familiar with the academic and research journeys. Your master or PhD projects can be a long and arduous few years, as you try to learn a range of amazing skills, publish papers and balance work with personal life.
Up until my PhD, I mostly used Excel to do data analyses. Whilst I wish I could have that time back, I am more than grateful to now know R, and would like to show you its benefits.
Throughout the research process, there is always room for discussion and learning. Whether you have no experience with R but are aware of its advantages, or you are a seasoned pro - I can help you. This help and support can be in the form of recommending better tests for your data, introducing you to libraries you weren’t familiar of, or being a peer reviewer that asks questions to make you challenge your analyses and conclusions. That P value - what does it really mean??
And if you are a beginner, every moment is a great moment to learn R. Once you have the script for a given analysis (which I will send you), you can use it again and again for new datasets (just changing a few bits of code).
