Having obtained my PhD in Oceanography and published five first-author manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals, I am skilled at knowing what should go into each section of a scientific paper or report.

I often see projects that contain great data analysis and visualisations, but fall short in the text when explaining or interpreting their results. The Discussion section of any assignment should not be left to the last minute - as it is often the section where most marks are allocated, and needs to clearly communicate what you’ve learned, and what remains to be studied (science can always be improved)….
